VP / Director of Manufacturing This
position will report directly to CEO. This position will provide
direction and strategies for manufacturing operations in preparation
of launch of new products as they are developed by R&D and lead
team to successful launch into commercialization.
Responsibilities: Establish current
and long range objectives, plans and policies, subject to approval
by Board of Directors. Drive new product and processing technologies
that are designed for manufacturability. Lead team in the design,
development and implementation of capable processes. Drive the use
of project management tools and process validation procedures across
the group. Develop project plans to include proposed technical
approach, budget, and key milestone completion dates for all
assigned projects. Develop, plan and train the manpower required for
supporting sales forecast. Establish and set priorities for
production schedules. Provide significant guidance and approval
regarding technical strategies and approaches. Establish
cross-functional team relationships with R&D, Quality,
Regulatory, Clinical and Marketing. Ensure all work fully meets
Regulatory, Quality and business requirements. Partner with Quality
to ensure appropriate regulations and requirements are followed on
all projects to ensure significant compliance. Ensure compliance to
GMPs. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the
organizations policies and applicable laws. Support the Quality
Policy and Quality System. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: This position
requires at least 10 years medical device manufacturing experience
or other FDA regulated industry with 5 years progressive management
responsibility BS engineering degree or equivalent combination of
education and experience. Masters degree in engineering a plus.
Previous working knowledge in some of the following areas is
required: GMP, electronics, joining processes, materials, metrology,
TQM and continuous improvement processes, Kanban, JIT, equipment
design, tooling, and automation of production processes,
manufacturing process support, and process development. Must be
knowledgeable concerning mechanical principles, assembly and machine
shop practices and techniques. Must be able to demonstrate effective
leadership skills in inspiring, driving and executing results
through others. Must demonstrate and model effective written and
verbal communications and organizational skills.
Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 Bonus Stock options
Experience: This position requires at least 10 years medical device
manufacturing experience or other FDA regulated industry with 5
